Julia Beck

Julia Beck (nee Habick) Julia Beck, 89, passed away January 6, 2018 at Akron City Hospital after short illness. She was born in Akron and was a life resident of the area. After attending Garfield High School, Julia transitioned into a working mom until her retirement in 1993. She was a great and loving mother and grandmother and will be truly missed. Preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Beck; sister, Mary Ann Kovack; brothers, Paul and David Habick; and nephew, Mike Habick. She is survived by son, Roger (Sherri) Beck; grandsons, Justin (Dalith), and Christopher Beck; brother, John Habick; and sister, Eleanor (Joe) Rogers; many members of her extended family, her favorite song bird (Brittany). Family and friends will be received 10-12 p.m. Tuesday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will follow visitation at 12 noon.
