Claude L. "Pat" Patrick

SUFFIELD -- Claude L. “Pat” Patrick, age 85, passed away peacefully after a long struggle, surrounded by his loving family on September 23, 2015. Born in Burnside, Pa. to parents, Leroy and Ruth Patrick, he had lived in Cleveland for 40 years before moving to Suffield in 1990. Pat had been employed as a pipefitter for 38 years with TRW, retiring in 1986. He was Past Master of Parkside Lodge #736 F&AM (formerly Maple Heights Lodge), and attended Suffield United Church of Christ. Pat belonged to the St. Bernard Country Club, where he was an avid golfer. He was a fan of Ohio sports teams, but above all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Imogene (Somerville) in 1986; brothers, Ronnie, Bill and Larry; and sister, Elaine, he is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Judy, who lovingly took care of him during his illness; sons, Gary (Claire), Jeff (Gail), Dan (Cheryl), Bob and Troy (Julie); daughters, Gail (John) Gasiorowski and Carla (Bill) Criswell; grandchildren, Lisa (Greg), Sarah (Chris), Justin, Stephanie (Tom), Brittny, Rachel, Kayla, Jim, Jacob, Dana, Angelia (Matt), Amie (Tom), Bobby, Brooke, Brycen, Bailey and Mollie; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Ryan, Colin, Macie, Madalynn, McKinley and Raylan; brothers, Walter (Lorraine) and Dennis (Jane); sister, Louise (Dave) Blaine; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Pat’s family would like to thank Absolute Hospice for their love and care during his illness, especially Melissa, Amanda, Cindi and Gabby. Family and friends will be received Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260, where a Masonic service will be conducted. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 12 noon at Suffield United Church of Christ, 1115 State Route 43, Mogadore, OH 44260 with Pastor Gary Friend officiating. Friends will also be received at the church from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
