Debra J. Savill, age 64, went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2022. She was born June 27, 1957 in Sutton, WV. She graduated from Springfield High School and spent 22 years in the United States Marine Corp. After retirement, Debbie spent 2 years in Iraq working for Titan. Her work in the service took her many places until she settled in the Hartville and Lakemore area. Debbie was a member of Home Missionary Baptist Church. She loved antiques and spending time with her pups. Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Ann, and sister, Gayle. She is survived by her father, Bob (Linda) Hoover; sons, Jarrod (Kathryn) and Jason Savill; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Gabriel, Matthew, Andrew and Victoria; brother-in-law, Wally; niece, Wendi and her family; nephew, Joey and his family; as well as many other family members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 E. Market St. Akron, OH 44308, or Wounded Warriors Project (woundedwarriorproject.org). Friends and family will be received Thursday, March 24th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 25th at 1 p.m. at Home Missionary Baptist Church, 1922 Oakes Dr. Akron, OH 44312 with an hour of visitation beginning at 12 p.m. Burial with full military honors will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
