Ethel Marie Herald

Ethel Marie Herald, age 92, went home to be with the Lord on October 30, 2016. Born in Dry Fork, West Virginia, Ethel lived in Akron since 1945. She was the owner/operator of Madge’s Beauty Shop and was the oldest member of Eastwood Church of the Brethren where she belonged to the Quilter’s Group. She also volunteered at Akron City Hospital and delivered Mobile Meals. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack; and daughter, Ronda Copeland; Ethel is survived by her son, Jack Jr. (Cathy); daughters, Donna Brubach and Pam (Tom) Eastman; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will be Thursday, 11 a.m., with Pastor Paul Bozman officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore.
