Harlene Mary Hicks

Harlene Mary Hicks, age 73, passed away on October 19, 2016. Born in Massillon, she was a graduate of the University of Akron and retired from FedEx Custom Critical after 15 years of service. Harlene Mary was a member of Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, especially books about history. Preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Helen Hicks, she is survived by her good friend, Linda Stakley. Friends and family will be received Tuesday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.), UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10 a.m. at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Road (at Killian Road), Akron, OH 44312 with Father David Halaiko presiding. Private burial will take place. Memorials are suggested to Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, Haven of Rest, or Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland.
