Jane Gour

Jane Gour, age 92, passed away September 21, 2016, after a brief illness. Born in Akron to Joseph and Mary Hoy, Jane was a lifetime area resident. She was employed with Goodyear Aerospace and the Quaker Oats Company. Jane was a wonderful mother and homemaker. Preceded in death by her husband, James in 2008; son, Terry in 1980; and an infant daughter, Tina Marie; Jane is survived by two daughters, Charlene and Rochelle (Mark); five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Vivian Phillips; nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312 with Pastor Steve Bucy officiating. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service Saturday, from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
