“Jim Beasley” Charles James Beasley, age 89, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2017. A life resident of Akron, he was employed by O.K. Trucking (formerly Anderson Motor) for many years, retiring in 1983. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was an avid golfer and bowler. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Annabelle; and son, Robert Keith. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Sue; son, Richard; daughters, Jamie Boggs and Sherri (Atif) Altaf; grandchildren, Kevin, Cara, Tami, Ken and Tonya; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Bob (Wanda). Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, 12 noon at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312 with Pastor Isaac Van Epps officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Family and friends will be received prior to the service Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
