John Pleli

John Pleli, age 69, passed away on March 2, 2016 after a long illness. Born in Vienna, Austria, he lived in the Akron area most of his life. John enjoyed motorcycles and his pets, Mickey, Mollie and Sweetie. Preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Anna Pleli; brother, Adam; and sister, Elizabeth Wiegandt; John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna; children, John Jacob (Katie), Lisa, Thomas Charles and Mary Lewis-Pleli (William Marshall); grandchildren, Karina, Amanda, Cassie, Heather, Brandon, Nick and Mariah; great-grandchildren, Hayley and Avery; sisters, AnnaMarie Garcia and Mary Major; and brother-in-law, Carl Wiegandt. Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, 2 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Cremation has taken place.
