Judy G. Smith

November 12, 1943 - March 5, 2022

Judy G. Smith, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2022. Born on November 12, 1943 in Charmco, WV to the late Ray and Daisy Farren, she was a longtime resident of Hartville. She taught as a special education teacher for 30 years and was a longtime member of the Chapel in Marlboro. Judy enjoyed reading, gardening, and vacationing. She loved to spend time with her family and was especially devoted to her granddaughter. Judy faced many challenges in her life but through all the challenges and tragedies, she remained strong in her faith. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Smith; sons, Eric and Brett Smith; and sister, Dreama Bodenlos. She is survived by her daughter, Alicia Craft; granddaughter, Natalie Craft; sister, Janet Lamb (Dave, dec.); and brothers, Bob (Connie), Jim (Fran, dec.), and Gary Farren; as well as many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org). Friends and family will be received Friday, March 11th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hopkins Lawver UNIONTOWN Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Avenue), Uniontown, Ohio 44685. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 12th at 2 p.m. with burial following at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown.
