June Adalee Franze

March 22, 1933 — November 30, 2016

June Adalee Franze, 83, of Randolph, Ohio, went to be with the Lord peacefully on November 30, 2016, with her family by her side. June was born March 22, 1933 in Akron, Ohio to Leroy and Ada Bisson. June was an active member at Saint Joseph’s Parish in Suffield, Ohio and put great effort into helping those in need. She was a former member of the cemetery committee at Saint Joseph’s and previously donated her time as the librarian at Saint Joseph’s School when her children attended school there. She also worked with Our Lady of the Elms in Akron, Ohio to make crafts and raise funds for a number of charities. June always had her hand stretched out for anyone in need and was a caretaker to many; but above all, she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to not only those who were part of her family, but to everyone that entered into her life. For all of her grandchildren, whenever a problem arose in their lives, Grandma’s house was the place to go. It was a safe haven with cookies and milk. They always brought their friends to the Grandparent’s house because they knew their friends were always welcome, no matter who they were. And no one can forget lunch on Sundays, 1 o’clock sharp; stuffed peppers, ratatouille, you could always tell by the smell when you walked in the door. For her children, the door was always open. No matter what they were dealing with, no matter the circumstance or even if they just wanted to drop by and have a chat. No knock was ever needed, just come in, take your coat off and stay a while. June was preceded in death by her son, Richard Franze, and is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Donald Leo Franze; sons and their spouses, Harold (Amy) Franze, Michael (Tracey) Franze, Phillip (Candy) Franze, Patrick (Lisa) Franze; daughter, Norma Lott; grandchildren, Renee Lott-Ando (Dontty Ando), Kelley Lott, Nathan Franze, Jenna Franze, Nicholas Franze, Anthony Franze, Halee Franze, Phillip Franze (Ryle Franze), Michael Franze, Scott Franze, and Felicia Franze (James Davies); great-grandchildren, Niko Ando and Everett Franze; and sister, Frances Mancino. After June and Don’s children were grown, they, as a couple, enjoyed trips to the casino, traveling through Pennsylvania and New York to look at Fall foliage and being close to their family and friends. June will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her but she has fulfilled her duty as a servant of the Lord on Earth and will now be watching over us all in Heaven. A mass and burial will be held at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Randolph/Suffield on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11 a.m., with friends and family being received at 10:15 a.m. prior to the church service. Burial to immediately follow at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Joseph’s Elementary School, 2617 Waterloo Road, Mogadore, OH 44260.
