Lawrence Augustin Stoltz

Lawrence Augustin Stoltz, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and good friend to so many, has passed away peacefully at his home, at the age of 89, on February 5, 2016. Larry was born on May 25, 1926 in Akron, Ohio. He grew up on North Hill, and was the son of Herman and Mary (Hicks) Stoltz, brother of Charles and George, and sister of Genevieve (Stoltz) Elmore. Larry married the love of his life, Jeanne Marie Hansen on March 1, 1952. Together they had and raised four children. Larry and Jeanne made their home in Mogadore, Ohio where they have lived since February of 1960. Larry was a long distance truck driver for forty-four years. He worked for All States Freight Co., Pacific Intermountain Express, and drove for a few independent owner-operators over the years. He retired from Duff Truck Lines in 1988, with an outstanding driving record. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sister; and by his youngest child, Susan Leigh Stoltz. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeanne (Hansen); daughters, Diane (Jeffrey) Wenum, Joyce (Dr. Warren) Kofol; and son, David (Jane) Stoltz. Larry is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers and nurses who attended to Larry’s every need these past few months. You are all angels! There will be no calling hours, cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date. “A limb has fallen from the family tree that says, grieve not for me.
