Marie K. Rogers, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2022. Born in Taylorville, IL she relocated with her husband Roy and children to Munroe Falls, in 1954. Marie retired from Macy’s in Stow where she would proudly tell you she earned the Diamond Customer Service Award. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, crossword puzzles, old western movies, romance and murder mystery novels. Most of all, she just enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Caroline and Chet Hunt, and sisters, Wanda Durbin and Louise Stockon. She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Roy Rogers; sons, Jimmy, Bill, Gary, and Mike; daughter, Trudy Morris (Rogers); 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Hunt; and sisters, Mamie Vitale and Gloria Summers. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Thursday, June 9th at 11 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron (Ellet), OH 44312. All are invited to a luncheon after the service at VFW Post 4738, 3733 Fishcreek Rd. Stow, OH 44224.
