Mary Ann (Bitzer) Garfield

Mary Ann Garfield, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2016. Born in Ashland, Wisconsin, Mary lived in Uniontown, Ohio most of her adult life. She graduated from Ashland High School. Mary was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, had a great love of nature and animals, but most importantly, she loved the time she spent visiting her children and grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Marie Bitzer; and infant sister, Rose Marie Bitzer; she is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Arthur; son, Jayme (Annette) Garfield; daughter, Melissa (Dave) Garfield; grandchildren, Summer, Willow, Gunnar, Danielle, Erin, Jacob and Mitchell. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2952 Edison Street NW (Rt. 619), Uniontown, Ohio 44685, with Father John Zapp presiding. Burial will follow at Woods Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to The Stark County Humane Society, 5100 Peach Street NE, Louisville, Ohio 44641.
