Special thanks are extended to long-time friend, Mary Gregory, Dr. Michael Hill and the Summa Hospice staff, particularly Gina, for her compassionate care. Mary Jane attended St. Joseph School and graduated from Randolph High School in 1942. Mary Jane and Pete were married in August of 1950. They were both faithful and lifetime members of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She received the St. Joseph Honorary Alumni Award in 2014. Mary Jane was active in the St. Joseph women’s bowling league, mixed euchre clubs, her neighborhood birthday club, and the Portage Dairy 4-H club. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, canning and freezing her produce, watching her grandchildren at their 4-H and sporting events, sending greeting cards to parishioners/family/friends, and watching Jeopardy, the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Ohio State basketball team. She was an avid supporter of the Portage County Fair and attended most fairs since the 1930’s. Mary Jane and Pete were proudly named the Portage County Randolph Fair Senior King and Queen in 2016. Friends and family are invited to honor Mary Jane on Friday, March 5th from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Road, Mogadore, (Randolph) Ohio 44260.
