Patricia Hurst Everly

Patricia Hurst Everly, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 19, 2021. She was born on September 20, 1946, in Albany Kentucky to the late James and Gladys Hurst. Patricia is preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles “Chuck” Everly, and many beloved brothers and sisters. She and her husband were well known in the community for many years as the husband and wife team of Chuck’s Appliance Service. Patricia was a very active and faithful member of the Mogadore United Methodist Church, and a long-time member of her cherished Rebecca’s Circle. She was always willing to help others and give from her heart, and unfailingly kept the Faith that sustained her. And as she knew the Lord would have it, her hands were never idle. She spent her later years working diligently in the care of her loved home and flowers, where good friends dropped by daily to sit a spell; always finding an empathetic, encouraging ear, and sharing a good-natured laugh. She never lost the wonder of nature, using her creative gifts in thoughtful ways, and in taking joy in simple things. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Talbott Gaadt (Erik); son, Doug Talbott (Susan); sister, Sherry Hurley; brother, Larry Hurst (Edaline); brother, Freeman Padgett (Lorene); as well as cherished grandchildren, loved stepchildren, dear nieces and nephews, and all who loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s Honor to the Mogadore United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 3828 Mogadore Rd, Mogadore, OH 44260. Friends and family are welcome to come celebrate Patricia’s life on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Mogadore United Methodist beginning at 11 A.M. Funeral services will begin at 1 P.M. with Rev. Eric Kluth officiating. Interment directly following will occur across from Mogadore United Methodist at Greenwood Cemetery.
