Roger Pressler

Roger Pressler, age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 14, 2017. Roger was born on July 26, 1940 in Akron, Ohio. He was a partner of the family owned business, Pressler Meats, for more than 50 years. Roger was also a member of many local clubs and organizations. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Wilma Pressler; brother, Robert Pressler; and sister, Carolyn Gissinger. Roger is survived by his loving wife, Joy; children, Roger (Kelly) Pressler, Sherrie Pressler and Rick Whitmyer; sister, Barb Mullins; brothers, Richard (Ruby) Pressler and Tom (Karen) Pressler; sister-in-law, Joanie (Rickey) Wright; brother-in-law, Joe Pack; mother-in-law, Virginia Bittner; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends, along with all the many wonderful customers of Pressler Meats. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, October 18, 2017, from 3 to 6 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following at 6 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) A celebration of life dinner will immediately follow at the Army/Navy Club 273, 1391 Main Street, Lakemore, Ohio 44250.
