Ronald L. Koby "Ronnie"

Ron was born Saturday, October 18, 1941, and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 25, 2016. Ron grew up in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Ellet High School and Akron University. He had many occupations ranging from the setting of bowling pins in the 1950’s to programming satellite receivers. Ron was an excellent bowler and participated in some of the best bowling in Akron. He also enjoyed playing the game of golf in leagues and with friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his brother, Frank (Bonnie) Koby; nephew, Nathan (Rachel) Koby and their son, Tucker. We would like to thank all of our many friends who offered their prayers, love and support on behalf of our family. We also thank the Community Gospel Tabernacle, Community Church of Portage Lakes, Akron General Hospital and Hospice staff. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Friday, 12 noon at Community Gospel Tabernacle, 181 East State Street, Barberton, Ohio 44203 with Pastor Donita Huffman officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service at the church, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Cuyahoga Falls.
