Theresa J. Stouffer (nee Browning)

Theresa J. Stouffer (nee Browning), 88, passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2016, surrounded by her family. Theresa was born on February 10, 1928, in Akron and was a graduate of East High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and is survived by her husband of 68 years, Alphious “Clark” Stouffer Jr.; children, Allen (Sharlene) Stouffer, Gary (Linda) Stouffer, Nancy (Ken) Young, and Linda Page Truan; grandchildren, Scott (Maura) Stouffer, Jennifer (Alex) Meillat, Mark (Bree) Young, Jillian (Andrew) Cameron, Kenny Young, Michael Stouffer, Kara (Jason) Schlegel, Jenna (Nathan) Cook, Matthew (fiancée Bridget Tynan) Stouffer, and Nicholas Malicoat; great-grandchildren, Anna, Owen and Allison Meillat, Roman and Roxanne Young, and Seona Schlegel; many nieces, nephews, and other family members including special nephew David (Linda) Bailey; caring friends and neighbors. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Eunice (nee Williams) Browning; siblings, Douglas Browning, Martin Browning, and Marie Bailey. There will be no services. Arrangements for the family are being handled by Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, and there will be a private Celebration of Life gathering at a later date.
