Virginia S. "Ginny" MacClaning (nee Firth)

Virginia S. “Ginny” MacClaning, age 56, went home to be with the Lord on November 30, 2016. Ginny was born in Akron and graduated from Barberton High School in 1978. Preceded in death by her father, Vincent Firth; and grandparents, George and Doris Miles and Caroline Firth, she is survived by her children, Amber Vass, Carmen (William) Sell, Anthony MacClaning; grandchildren, Kyler and Alyssa Vass, Gavin and Trenton Sell; mother, Georgine Firth; brother, Jim (Kathy) Firth; and her boyfriend, Mark Cash. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 1:30 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312 with Rev. Richard Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
