Allan C. Ebner

Allan C. Ebner, 92, went home to be with the Lord February 2, 2014.

He was born in Wadsworth; lived in the Suffield area most of his life and retired from the U. S. Air Force after 22 years of service. Allan was a devoted member of Fairhaven Baptist Church, where he also served as church deacon. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Preceded in death by his wife Sophie; and sisters, Marian Graham and Mildred Heil. He is survived by son, Robert K.; granddaughters, Lora (Pete), Jody (Brian), and Danielle (Shawn); great grandchildren, Parker, Layne and Heidy.

Funeral service will be held Thursday 1:00 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Pastor W. David Rosenberger officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park, where Firestone VFW Post #3383 will conduct military rites. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 12 noon Thursday until service time.
