Austin P. Cippant

Austin P. Cippant, 77 years, went home to be with the Lord May 24, 2012.

Born in Akron, he retired as a machinist from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company with 44 years of service. Austin was a longtime member of Springfield Church of the Brethren where he enjoyed working on various projects.

Preceded in death by parents, Austin and Mary Cippant; sisters and brothers-in-law, Stella and Raymond Klapp and Anna Mae and Arthur Smith; he is survived by his loving wife, Avenell of 55 years of marriage; son, Kevin (Carol) of Mansfield, Texas; daughters, Diane Cippant of Irving, Texas and Joyce (Douglas) Imhoff of Sterling, Ohio; grandchildren, Brian, Kristen and Michael Cippant, Jennifer, Cassandra and Alyssa Imhoff.

Funeral service Sunday, 3 p.m., at Springfield Church of the Brethren, 3500 Albrecht Ave., Akron, Ohio 44312, with Pastor Andrew Hamilton and Pastor Kris Hawk officiating. Burial at Maple Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call Saturday, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver MOGADORE Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Ave., Mogadore, Ohio 44260 and on Sunday, one hour prior to the service at the church, from 2 to 3 p.m.  Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to Springfield Church of the Brethren.
