Barbara C. Smith

Barbara C. Smith, 67, went home to be with the Lord suddenly on August 3, 2012.

Born in Altoona, Pa., Barbara lived most of her life in the Akron area, graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1962. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Parish, and was employed as a photographer for Pixie Portraits, Expressly Portraits and Kmart.

Preceded in death by father, Leo Smith; mother, Audrey Keller; and stepfather, Jacob “Jack” Keller, Barbara is survived by brother, Jeffrey A. Smith; sisters, Jean M. (John) Kurtz of Uniontown, and Robbin L. Hayes Smith of New Philadelphia; dog, Joey; cat, Sweetie Pie; and many nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St., Akron, OH 44301, with Rev. Fr. Ralph W. Thomas as Celebrant. Friends may call at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312 from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will take place in Altoona, Pa.
