Carol Burkhammer

It pains us to share the news of our mothers passing. Carol Jean Stevens Burkhammer, born May 10, 1937, passed away on December 13, 2025 at the golden age of 88 years young.

She leaves behind one sister, Janet Dill; husband, John; son, James Alan Burkhammer and wife, Pam; daughter, Carolyn Marie (Burkhammer) Wilmot and husband, Virgil; son Paul Michael Burkhammer; grandchildren: Amanda Filkill, Shaun Lowe, Kenny Lowe, Alana Burkhammer, Jennifer Allen, Kevin Holland, Brianne Corzine; and many wonderful, loved great grandchildren.

She was born in Cambridge, Ohio, to Clarence (Steve) and Edith Stevens and was the eldest of 5 daughters.

Mom was such a generous, understanding and loving woman. She loved from her heart, offering advice and wisdom, a place to stay, a few dollars to help out… She enjoyed sharing stories from her younger years, giving all of us a view of how things had been and, our cousins, a better understanding of what their moms had been like growing up.

It goes without saying how much she will be missed. I hope all who knew her are a bit better for having known her.

There are no formal services per her wish. No flowers needed, however, you would make her smile if you made a donation to St. Jude or the Red Cross in her name.
