Carol R. Jenkins

Carol Ruth Jenkins (McAlpine) 83 yrs of Akron, OH went home with the Lord May 31st. Carol was born to Charles & Thelma McAlpine September 27, 1941 & was raised in Mogadore, OH. She leaves 4 children, Diane (Rick) Grennan of Georgia, Linda Yaksic of Arkansas, Cynthia Davies of Georgia, Jeff (Darla) Jenkins Wadsworth, Ohio; sister, Rita (Serge) Ostrovsky of Akron; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; many special nieces, nephews, cousins & friends

Preceded in death by husband, Raymond (Bill) Jenkins; parents Charles & Thelma McAlpine; son, Willard Jenkins of Florida; grandchildren, Charles Engler & Amy Engler, of Georgia, and Adam Davies of Illinois

Carol was a faithful member of Mogadore United Methodist Church. She spent many years as a devoted wife, homemaker & mom. She returned to working after her husband passed & retired from Acme in Akron after many years service. She enjoyed quilting & tole painting, but her favorite hobby was sewing clothing & donating to countless children in need in Alabama & Ohio. She loved spending time with family at many family gatherings & traveling for family visits. Rest with our Lord Carol, we love you.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 4th from 6 to 8pm at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44312. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 5th at 1pm with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore. Memorials can be made to Barberton Area Community Ministries (BACM) and Mogadore United Methodist Church.
