Carolyn J. Davies

Carolyn Jane Davies, 83, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 30, 2026.

Carolyn lived a life defined by faith, love, service, and unwavering devotion to God. More than anything else, she desired to honor the Lord in the way she lived and in the way she invested in the lives of others. Her greatest joy was seeing people grow in their faith and encouraging them to stand firmly upon the truth of God's Word.

A gifted teacher, Carolyn dedicated many years to educating young students. She especially loved teaching mathematics and science, believing that the wonders of God's creation pointed unmistakably to the wisdom and greatness of the Creator. She was deeply committed to helping the next generation understand how science, rightly understood, strengthens rather than weakens the Christian faith. She also faithfully taught Sunday School and homeschool, opening God's Word with enthusiasm, wisdom, and a genuine love for every child entrusted to her care.

Carolyn was a super wife in every sense of the word. She was not only a wife, she was a counselor, wise advisor, team worker, and example. Her beloved husband, Donald Davies, found in her a faithful partner who walked beside him through every season of life with love, wisdom, encouragement, and steadfast commitment. Some of their happiest moments were the simplest ones—taking long walks together while holding hands, enjoying God's creation and one another's company. Their marriage was a beautiful testimony of lifelong love and devotion.

She was also a super mom, pouring herself into the lives of her children with boundless love, patience, sacrifice, and encouragement. Carolyn consistently placed the needs of others before her own. Whether offering a listening ear, giving thoughtful advice, lending a helping hand, or cooking a delicious meal or baking her famous rolls, she demonstrated Christ's love in practical ways every day. Her family always knew they could depend on her, and countless others experienced the same kindness and generosity.

Known affectionately as "Farmer Carolyn", she found great joy working outdoors. She loved tending her garden, and caring for God's creation, and watching things grow. Her appreciation for the beauty of the natural world reflected her deep gratitude for the Creator who made it all.

Carolyn possessed a rare beauty. She was beautiful both inside and out. Her gracious spirit, gentle heart, quiet strength, unwavering integrity, and genuine concern for others left a lasting impression on everyone privileged to know her. She lived with humility, extending kindness freely and asking for little in return. Her life was a shining example of faith lived out through love.

Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband, Donald Davies, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and faithful partnership. She is also survived by her children: Tammy (Robert) Molody, Matthew Davies, Dawn Marie (Andrew) Gear, Christopher (Jodi) Davies, David (Jasmin) Davies, Rebekah (Mike) Quarterman, Michelle (Chris) Perin, and Jacqueline (Michael) Nemet. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her love, wisdom, and faithful example.

While her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the assurance that Carolyn is now in the presence of the Savior she loved and faithfully served throughout her life. Her legacy will continue through the lives she touched, the children she taught, the family she nurtured, and the countless people she encouraged to trust in Jesus Christ.

"Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her... Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all." — Proverbs 31:28–29

Carolyn will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and joyfully reunited with those who know Christ when the Lord gathers His people home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Carolyn's honor to Better Together Homeschool Co-Op, 7954 Pontius Street NE, Alliance, Ohio 44601, to continue investing in the education and spiritual development of the next generation, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, whose mission of caring for children and advancing lifesaving research reflected Carolyn's compassionate heart.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Carolyn's life during calling hours on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel in Marlboro, 8700 Edison Street NE, Louisville, Ohio 44641 with funeral service following.
