Catherine L. Stout

Catherine L. Stout, age 96, passed away on January 18, 2021. Born in Whitesville, Ala., she lived in Brimfield where she was a member of First Freedom Baptist Church. Catherine was employed as a retail clerk, and her hobbies included camping, sewing and gardening. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and Joker, and spending time with her family and friends. Also called “Lovie”, she was known for her sweet tea, loving and giving heart, and was a Mom to many. Preceded in death by her parents, Ollie J. and Gertrude Dunn; and seven siblings; husband, Houston “Red” Stout; and grandson, Andy Stout, Catherine is survived by her son, Dennis L. Stout (Stacy); daughter, Sharon Bowe (Stephen); special niece, Terri Hall; grandchildren, Joshua (Maria) Bowe, April Bowe-Corr (Matt), Wendy Stout and Sandra Stout; great-grandchildren, Giovanni, Caiden, Katherine, Justina, Giuseppe and soon-to-arrive, Scarlett Grace. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 23rd, at First Freedom Baptist Church, 2171 Tallmadge Road, Kent (Brimfield), OH 44240. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield.
