Chester L. "Chet" Henthorn

Chester L. “Chet” Henthorn, age 71, passed away March 6, 2013.

Born in Spencer, W. Va., he lived in Akron most of his life. Chet was employed with Painters Local #841, and attended Community Church of Kenmore. He was a strong, hardworking man, and everyone loved him.

Preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Jeanette, and daughter, Tammy, he is survived by his wife, Penny; son, Wayne (Elyssa) of North Carolina; daughter, Wanda (Charles) Roberts of Uniontown; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles and Arlie Jr.; and sisters, Wilma Jean Lindsey of Caldwell, Oh., and Diane Allen of Brimfield. We have all been blessed to have Chester in our lives. God gave us a very special angel. Please keep all of us in your prayers.

Funeral service will be Monday, 7 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312, with Pastor John Larson officiating. Private burial at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until service time Monday.
