Daniel M. Mook

Daniel M. Mook, 60, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

Born in Akron, he lived in Springfield Twp. and graduated from Springfield High School. Dan served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the NRA. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a diehard fan of the Cleveland Browns and enjoyed survival crafts, leatherworks, and rock music.

Dan was preceded in death by father, George Mook; mother, Doris Craft; niece, Amanda Metko; grandpa, Martin Mokros; aunt, Maxine Mellinger; uncle, David Mellinger; and best friend, Richard Flynt. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Loretta Mook; son, Daniel “Danny” Mook Jr.; daughters, Nicole and Kelly Mook; grandchild, Domanick; sister, Brenda Frame (Kevin); step-father, Ronald L. Craft; and many nieces, nephews, step-brothers, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, August 7^th from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Park, 3124 Forest Park Blvd. Akron, OH 44312; pot-luck meal for friends and family with a cash bar.
