David J. Persons SR., age 78, passed away after a long illness on September 7, 2023, with his family by his side. David was a longtime resident of Suffield.
Better known as “Pops” to some, David retired from Goodyear Machine Design with 38 years of service. He served in the Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He enjoyed his tractor collection and movies, especially old westerns.
David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly; sons, David Jr.(Lisa), Matthew(Michelle); grandchildren, Gavin and Grace; sisters, Doris Cass and Pauline Shane.
Family and friends will be received for a memorial service September 24, 2023 at 1pm at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44312.
