Donald Gene Davis

Donald Gene Davis, age 70, passed away March 6, 2021. Born in Akron, Ohio, he lived in North Hill. Donald graduated from North High School then entered the Army, where he did a tour of duty in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart. Donald enjoyed golf and hanging out with friends at the VFW. Preceded in death by his parents, Lytle Gene and Delores Davis; and his wife, Denise Davis. Donald is survived by his sons, Donald (Laura), Christopher (Sarah), Richard, Greg (Rebecca); daughter, Joni (Thomas); nine grandchildren; brother, Darrell (Rebecca) Davis; and sisters, Darlene (Robert) Fankhauser, and Debra (Thomas) Miller. Friends and family will be received Thursday, March 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312.
