Donald "Don" Sarrett

Donald “Don” Sarrett, age 84, passed away on November 3, 2021. He was born in Arnett, WVa and graduated from Hower High School. Don worked for J & L Steel for 23 years. During his free time, he enjoyed visiting the race track and smoking a cigar. He was a fan of drag racing and hot rods. If it had an engine, wheels, and was built for speed, Don got excited about it. He is preceded in death by his father, Oliver “Pete” Sarrett and his mother, Edna Sarrett. Don is survived by his son, Jonathan (Nicole) Sarrett and grandson, Logan Sarrett. Family and friends will be welcome to remember Don’s life on Sunday, November 6, 2021 at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home at 547 Canton Rd. Akron, Ohio 44312 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Additional visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Armstrong Funeral Home at 39687 Coal River Rd, Whitesville, WV 25209 from 10 am to 11 am and followed by a graveside service at Miller Cemetery in Rocks Creek, Wva.
