Donna E. Boston

Donna E. Boston passed away July 21. 2026 at the age of 89. She graduated from Ellet High School in 1955 and attended The University of Akron. She was a loving mother and housewife until her children were grown. She was later employed as a secretary.

Donna was a lifetime member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Children's Choir Director, and on numerous committees.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband Donald of 50 years; her parents, Mabel Watson Bell and Lester ‘Roy” Watson; step dad, Bert Bell; and brother Tom and sister in law Janis Watson.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, David and Janice Boston; daughter and son In-law, Denise and Perry Lakins; the grand children she loved dearly and was so proud of, John (Jenna ) Boston, Julie(Patrick) Hughey, Jeffrey(Julie) Lakins, Laura (Taylor) Lakins; great grandchildren, George, Josephine, Jax, Nellie, Lucas and Milo; nephew, Steve (Debbie) Watson; niece, Karen Watson; and many other nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home (547 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312) from 10-11:00 a.m., with a funeral service immediately following. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, at her request, please make memorial donations to Oak Hill Presbyterian Church (2406 Ardwell Ave., Akron, OH 44312).
