Duain N. Ely

Duain N. Ely, 88, passed away on November 21, 2023. Born and raised in the Alliance area, he was a 1953 graduate of Alliance High School. He was a Springfield Township resident and was employed at BF Goodrich as an engineer for 40 years. Duain was a little league baseball coach and loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling.

Duain was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Della Ely; brother, Clyde Ely; and sister, Agnes Skaggs. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marlene Ely; children, Daryl (Gayle), David, Bryon (Cathy), Stephen (Cheryl), Joseph (Tammy); grandchildren, Brittany (James), Rachel, Anthony, Hannah, Ryan, Jordan, Alex, Dylan; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Arthur (Bev) Ely; sister-in-law, June Ely; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, December 2^nd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St. NW, Uniontown, OH 44685. Memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. with interment to follow at East Liberty Cemetery.
