Edith Ann Fiocca

April 29, 1923 — December 2, 2012

Edith Ann Fiocca, 89, passed away on December 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Akron and was a lifelong resident of Lakemore. Edith was a proud member and the Queen Mum of the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul G. Fiocca, Sr.; and son, Paul G. Fiocca, Jr. She is survived by her children, Patrick D. Fiocca, Sr. (Connie) and Bernadette E. Fiocca (Peter); godchild, Esther A. Dillon (Larry); grandchildren, Ann Marie Moore (Robert), Sandra Boyes (Ken), Jennifer Fiocca, Patrick D. Fiocca, Jr. (Alexis), Lucien Dodge and Damian Dodge; great-grandchildren, Emily Boyes, Anna Maria Lengyel, Evan Boyes, Ethan Boyes, Logan Sanders, Erika Boyes, Talia Fiocca, Liam Fiocca, Tatum Fiocca; and great-great-grandchild, Patrick Boyes. Edith loved all who were fortunate enough to cross her path and she was well loved in return! She had a smile like the sun, and her positive attitude toward life would lift your spirit and “make your day”! She offered never ending words of encouragement and appreciation and had a generosity of heart that knew no boundaries. Regardless of who you were she made you feel a part of her family. She often said “my door is always open” and you could be sure if you entered that door as a stranger, you would leave as a friend. Once in her home, you always left with a full belly and a warm hug. She had an eternal youthfulness that was always ready to laugh, play a joke, or sled ride even at age 83! She will be deeply missed, but the legacy of love and joy that her life inspired will never die. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 10, 2012, 10 a.m., at St. Augustine Church, 204 6th Street Northwest, Barberton, Ohio 44203, with Rev. Father David Majikas celebrating.
