Elaine A. Yanosik

Elaine Yanosik born October 15th 1932 from Akron Ohio, a woman of immense strength, who was loved dearly, passed away February 18th 2026. 

The matriarch of her family, Elaine’s life was defined by the deep love she held for her children, her grandchildren, and the many dogs she rescued throughout her life. Elaine married her husband, John Yanosik at 19 and when he passed away at 36 years old, Elaine carried both parental roles for her three children while working to provide for the household. She had an honest, self reliant spirit, loved dogs, Christmas, ginger ale, and chicken patties. 

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her children, Collene and Johnny (Jr). She is survived by her daughter, Janice, and a legacy of grandchildren who will miss her dearly: Kelly (Brian) Cooper, Jamie (Heather) Grill, Cassandra (Jose) Mendoza, Candace (John) Masiella- Sukosd, Frankie (Megan) Masiella, John Yanosik, Nichole A. (David) Yanosik Woods. As well as 11 great grandchildren. Her dedication to those she loved will never be forgotten. She taught her family what it meant to keep going, no matter the obstacles. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local Humane Society. In accordance with Elaine’s wishes, there will be no public memorial service.
