Elizabeth J. Palmieri

Elizabeth J. Palmieri, beloved mother, aunt, and friend, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on April 28, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on August 18, 1933, to Italian immigrants Dominic and Helen Gemelli, Betty carried the spirit and warmth of her heritage in everything she did.

A lifelong devotee to family, Betty found her greatest joy in the moments shared around the dinner table at Sunday gatherings filled with laughter, family, and food. Her kitchen was the heart of her home.

Betty’s love extended beyond people. For the past twelve years her sidekick, Ziggy, was her best feline friend. Ziggy was more than a pet; he was a source of comfort, joy, and companionship.

She is preceded in death by her parents Dominic and Helen; Husband Carlo, daughter Dianna, and twin sister Josephine (James) Davis. She is survived by her loving son; Bob, Special nieces and nephews Dina McAbee, Joe (Katlynn) Gemelli, and Nicole (Ben) Anderson all of Ohio. Our family in Italy all loved you - Aunt Rosina, Barbara, and family, Livio and family, as well as Paulo and family. Special remembrance to Roberta. I thank all of them for their sympathy.

Special thanks to longtime friends Ron and Diana Bliss, Lynn Clark, as well as Dave and Ryan Kester, whom my mom loved dearly.

Mom, you were the best. I was fortunate to have you for as long as I did. Me and Ziggy will always miss you. I will never forget the good times we all had together.
