Esther Mae Galloway

Esther Mae (Hendrix) Galloway Esther M. Galloway, 89, passed away September 13, 2012 following a long illness.

She was born on December 1, 1922 in East Springfield, Ohio to Jay and Laura Hendrix. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald; sons, Donald Jr. and James; parents, Jay and Laura (Potts) Hendrix; sisters, Maxine and Mary Evelyn; and brothers, Bill, Jack and Bob, she is survived by daughters, MaryAnn Killian (Bruce) and Laura Galloway; grandchildren, Monica Engelhart (Dan), Todd Galloway (Rhonda), Theresa Grabowski (Jeff) and Lindsey Ryan; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a sweet, loving and caring Mom and Granny, and a friend who will be missed by all.

Funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312, with Rev. John Lee officiating. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
