Floyd Henry Keathley Jr. age 90, died peacefully on the second day of autumn, September 23, 2025. "Keith" was born November 3rd, 1934 in Akron Ohio, he graduated from Ellet High School.
He met the love of his life, Dorothy Ann Keathley, and worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber as a purchasing agent for 40 years.
He loved football, the Browns and the Buckeyes. He spent years of his life never missing a Monday Night Football broadcast. He smiled on his last day when he was told the Browns won.
He was kind, loyal and loving. He led his life with dignity, decency and showed us all how to live with moral leadership. He was known to have a very fun and unique sense of humor and lit up every room he walked into. He made everyone feel special.
"Grandpa" made some magical Chex Mix every year for the holidays, and the recipe will live on.
Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, sons Richard and James Keathley, parents, Floyd Sr. and Hauteen Keathley: siblings Donald, Gilbert, Gordon, Lucille, Gloria and Jeanette.
He is survived by daughters, Sharon (Mike) Jackson, Laura Flowers, Cynthia (Bill) Holderbaum, Karen (Tony) Manna; son Thomas (Sara Myers); daughter-in-law, Diana Keathley; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.

The funeral service for Floyd will be held Wednesday October 1, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Parish Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Ave. Akron, OH 44312. Friends and family will be welcomed for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
