Frank Gross Jr.

Frank Gross Jr., 75, of Green, Ohio, passed away on September 18, 2026. Born in Austria on August 6, 1951, to Frank Gross Sr. and Anna Gross, he was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle whose greatest joy was his family.

Frank spent the later years of his life in Green, where he shared a home with his beloved wife, Loretta Gross, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves behind his daughter, Tara Huber, and her husband, Chris; his son, Troy Gross, and his wife, Jessica; his sister, Mary Gross, his cherished puzzle buddy; and his brother, Tony Gross, and his wife, Cheryl. He is also remembered with love by his nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart.

Above all, Frank treasured his five grandchildren: Trent Gross, Trevor Gross, Tucker Gross, Morgan Huber, and Lucy Huber. They were the joys of his life and meant everything to him. He loved attending car shows with his son and grandsons and watching the boys’ sporting events and musical performances. He delighted in watching his granddaughters’ cheer competitions and dance performances, taking them to practice, or simply stopping for cheesy fries together. Whether he was cheering them on or sharing an everyday moment, being their grandpa was one of his greatest joys.

Frank retired from General Motors and had a lifelong love of cars. An avid car enthusiast, he especially enjoyed sharing that passion with his family. He loved building things and had a natural talent for just about anything he set his hands to. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, a good meal, a good book, and anything science related. His curiosity, capable hands, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures were part of what made him who he was.

Frank will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. His family will carry a lifetime of memories with them—in every car show, every familiar drive, every meal shared, and every story told about the dad and grandpa they loved so much.

Calling hours will be held at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home in Uniontown on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a small graveside service. A luncheon will follow, with details provided at Friday’s service.
