Together Again
Hazel Burton, age 84, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Her grace, strength and positivity inspired everyone who knew her. She was devoted to her family and friends and filled their lives with warmth and laughter. She was an excellent cook and hostess who expressed her love through food. She beamed when friends and family gathered around the table. Her smile and laugh will never be forgotten.
Her welcoming and generous spirit made everyone feel comfortable and accepted. She never met a stranger; everyone was treated as her new friend. Her numerous special friends and her extraordinary church family were adored and cherished. Her unwavering faith brought comfort and peace during her battles with illness and pain.
Born in Toler, KY in 1941, she was a true Southern Belle who was beautiful inside and out.
She worked numerous years at DeVitis Italian Market before retiring to watch her grandchild and care for her mother. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Burton, son Wayne Burton and grandsons Donnie Burton and Jason Shreve. She was also preceded in death by her parents Herman and Betty Allred, siblings Luther Allred, Charles Allred, Ethel Cavalier and Willie Allred.
