Helen D. Lontchar

Helen Donna Lontchar, age 87, passed away surrounded by family on December 4, 2025.

Born, raised, and educated in Cuyahoga Falls, she made her home the community of Uniontown and Hartville for the past 48 years. Helen was employed as a paralegal assistant at the BFGoodrich Company for almost 15 years before devoting herself to raising and supporting her family. She enjoyed reading, movies, travel, and country music, lived her life deeply loving those that mattered most to her, and unapologetic about her view of the world.

She was preceded in death by her adoptive father, Walter Ewerth; sisters Ann, Mary, and Betty; brother, John; and her husband of 46 years, Mark Sr. Helen is survived by her children, Mark Jr. (Natalie), Steve, and Matthew (Suzette); and grandchildren, Mitchell, Ava, Amelia, Stella, Maxwell, and Graham.

Private interment has been arranged and will take place at Mt. Peace Cemetery in Hartville. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the World Wildlife Fund, P.O. Box 97180, Washington, DC 20090-7180.
