Henry "Hank" G. Carter

Henry (Hank/Butch) G. Carter, age 79, of Akron, Ohio, went home to our Lord and Savior on December 27th, 2021. He is now reunited with his loving wife Lois. Hank was a smart and hardworking family man with a generous heart. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and quite the outdoorsman. Hank’s humor and smile will forever be remembered by his family and friends. Henry was born on May 31st, 1941. Hank was the beloved husband of Lois Carter for 56 years. He was the loving Father of Lois "Angie" Williams, Henry "Butch" Carter Jr. and Darren J. Carter; as well as to their spouses Bob, Chrissy and Lauren. Henry was the amazing grandfather to Amy, Abby, Tyler and Brayden; and great-grandfather to Gabriel and Elizabeth. He was a wonderful brother to George, Joyce, Peggy Lou, Cheryl, and Frank. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Henry was preceded in death by his parents William and Ruby Carter, sister Cheryl, brother Frank, and wife Lois Carter. In lieu of flowers please donate to Akron Children's Hospital. A private showing for the family will take place at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home. All are invited to the funeral service officiated by Rev. Tim L. Smith which will take place at Hillside Memorial Park at 1025 Canton Rd. Akron, Ohio 44312, on Monday, January 3rd 2022 at 1 p.m.
