Herman W. "Bill" Doering

Herman W. “Bill” Doering, 86, passed away January 8, 2013.

He was born April 13, 1926 to John and Mary (Pacharis) Doering. Bill was a lifetime resident of Green Twp./City of Green. He married Lily Dimarco of Akron on April 27, 1944. Bill was a member of Bricklayers Local #7 Akron for 65 years. For many of those years he worked as a foreman on large construction projects. Bill enjoyed gardening, making wine, his large family and his many friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Ava; brother, John; and sisters, Eva Seltzer and Mary Doering. Bill is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lily; sons, Bill (Barbara), Larry, Fred (Melody) and Tony (Jerry); ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Monday, 11 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St. NW, Uniontown, OH 44685 (One block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.). Burial will follow at Uniontown Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday.
