Irene P. Hanus

Irene P. Hanus, 91 years, passed away September 9, 2013.

Irene was born March 30, 1922 in Burlington, Vt. to the late Lawrence and Rose Rucker. She was a disciplined homemaker who shared her unconditional love for her entire family and was always there for anyone who needed her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Paul; children, Paula (Don) Bell, Paul David (Rosemarie), and Terri Lynne (Keith) Kapper; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312. Private graveside services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
