James D. Adkins

James Douglas Adkins, age 79, passed away March 8, 2022. 

Born in Wayne, WV he graduated from Wayne High School. He worked at Akron Standard Mold for many years before retiring from Robert Long Manufacturing after 29 years. He was a member of the Moose Club in Mogadore. He loved fishing on Lake Erie and enjoyed playing golf. 

James was preceded in death by both parents, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. He is survived by wife of 59 years, Judy; son, Troy Douglas Adkins (Kim); grandchildren, James Douglas Adkins (Kaity) and Daniel Tyler Adkins; brother, Junior Adkins (Norma); sisters, Minnie Mills and Phyllis Wellman. 

Friends and family will be received Monday, March 14th from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will begin at 4 p.m.
