James P. Albertoni

James P. Albertoni, 86, passed away June 26, 2026.

Born in Akron OH, He graduated from Ellet High School and Akron University as Mechanical Engineer. He was a U.S. Army Reserve Guard Veteran. He retired from Kendale Industries. He also was a Zoning inspector and Trustee for Suffield Township. He served his community as president of the Lions Club and Jaycee. His favorite hobby was his old cars which he absolutely loved showing them at the car shows and restoring them.

Preceded in death by parents Charles F. Albertoni and Pauline Bruell, and brother George Albertoni. Stepmother Bernice Albertoni, Stepbrother Ronald Hastler, and daughter-in-law Michele Albertoni.

Survived by his loving wife of 63 years Janelle. His children John Albertoni, Mechelle (John) Metzgar, Monica (David Jr.) Holzapfel. Grandchildren, John Jr. (Jessica) Albertoni, Briana Metzgar, Bryce Metzgar, Lydia Holzapfel. Great grandchild Jaxon Albertoni. Stepsisters Sandy Murphy, Kathy Pollock and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 1st from 4 to 7pm at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44312. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 2nd at 10am at St. Joseph Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd. Mogadore, OH 44260 with burial to follow at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield.
