James T. "Jim" Bailey

James T. “Jim” Bailey, age 97, passed away July 14, 2022. Born on August 5, 1924 to the late Homer and Lucretia Bailey, he was a longtime resident of Randolph. Jim served in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Division in WWII and retired from Firestone Tire. He was a part of the Randolph Athletic Boosters Club and a devoted member of the Randolph Fair Board. He was a farmer, serving as a 4H leader, and also enjoyed fishing. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Bailey; sister, Margaret Bender; and granddaughter, Erin Acord. He is survived by his children, Michele Acord, James Bailey (Kathy), Denise Wise (Mike), Debra Townsend, William Bailey (Elma), Melissa Robledo (Rudy); grandchildren, Eric Acord, Nicole Ebner, Jim Bailey, Chris Bailey, Matthew Wise, Adrienne Wise, Michael Townsend, Brett Townsend, Daniel Bailey, Angela Davenport, Cassandra Robledo, Garret Robledo, Kaitlin Robledo, Arianna, Kristen, Martin, Catina; and numerous great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Portage County Randolph Fair, PO Box 213, Randolph, OH 44265. Friends and family will be received Tuesday, July 19th from 9 to 10 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery, 1714 Hartville Rd. Mogadore, OH 44260. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. with Pastor Pamela Buzalka presiding.
