James “Jimmy” B. Absalom, age 76, went home to be with Lord on October 9, 2021
Jimmy was born in Akron, Ohio, where he graduated from Central High School. He was a founder of Diversified Engraving and Mold and ran the business for 25 years. Jimmy was a member of the Spanish Trail Country Club. He enjoyed golf, watching sports, and being with his wife and family.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Absalom; brother, John Absalom; and stepson, Stephen Yankulov. He is survived by his wife, Darla; sons, James C.(Denise) Absalom, Mark (Jenny) Yankulov; daughters, April (Frank) Kalain and Amy (Dale) White; grandchildren, Amanda (Clark) Genet, Sarah, Hannah, Rachel, Jonathan, James A, Joshua, Jamie, Stephen, Megan (Joseph) Castelli, and Samantha (Dominic) Garro; great grandson, Luca Genet; two great granddaughters; sisters, Linda (Bill) Esterak and Cindy (Paul) Riddle; and last but not least, Jake and Joey, his beloved dogs.

Friends and family will be received Monday, October 18th from 11 to 12 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Avenue), Uniontown, Ohio 44685. A funeral service will be at 12 p.m. with Pastor Clark Genet officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Guests are invited back to the funeral home following the burial for light refreshments.
