James P. McCombs

James P. McCombs, 97, went home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2023.

Born in Richwood, WV, he was a resident of the Akron and Uniontown area. James served in the U.S. Navy WWII and worked for Goodyear Aerospace/Lockheed Martin for 38 years. He was a member of the Goodyear Hunting & Fishing club and enjoyed gardening, fishing, lapidary, woodworking, traveling, camping, and spending time with his family.

James was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Florence (Norman) McCombs; his parents, Samuel and Bessie McCombs; siblings, Forest, Cecil, Eugene, Robert, Garnet, and Mary. He is survived by his sons, James Alan (Krislynn) McCombs and Brian Edward (Irene) McCombs; daughters, Gwendolyn Jo McCombs and Christine Lynn (Clifford) Denning; grandchildren, Kerry (Beau) Brillhart (McCombs), James McCombs, Rachel (David) Denning, Ashley (Nathan) Coey (McCombs), Nathan (Maria) Denning, Amber (Darko) Milic (McCombs), Madison Cummings; great-grandchildren, Regan and Beau Brillhart, Wilder, Sterling, and Rainier Maxwell, Isabelle, Ethan, and Alexis Coey, Alina and Luka Milic.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, November 18^th from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Hopkins Lawver UNIONTOWN Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Avenue), Uniontown, Ohio 44685. A funeral service will be begin at 1 p.m.
