James P. Van Pelt, 62, passed away on March 27, 2024.
A lifelong resident of Akron, he graduated from Stark Technical College in 1983 with an Associate's in Computer Programming and The University of Akron in 1985 with a Bachelor's in Marketing. Jim was employed with YRCW -- Yellow Roadway for 20 years. He enjoyed biking, walking on park trails, and listening to country and pop music.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Van Pelt. He survived by his wife of 14 years, Josephine Van Pelt; father, Harry A. Van Pelt; brother, Mark (Pat) Van Pelt; and nephews, Mark and David.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 20th at 11 a.m. at Greensburg Cemetery, 4890 Thursby Rd. North Canton, OH 44720.
